1996 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab The best damned vehicle ever built!  Since being put into service in mid-1996, this little truck has accumulated more than 264,000 miles (as of December 2004) without any repairs!  And she's still running strong.  Equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 and an automatic transmission, the truck still looks great inside and out and has enough power to light up the rear tires while getting 21 mpg.  Of course, regular maintenance has been done, including several sets of brake pads and a few sets of rotors, 3 sets of shocks, lots of tires, and 2 sets of spark plugs and plug wires.  Plans are to retire this vehicle (i.e. pass it on to my son for use in his business) within the next 10,000 miles.
